  ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Princeton Travelers partners with MBA, Executive MBA, and undergraduate business schools to develop study programs to China. Typical programs are 8 to 15 days and include visits to key centers such as Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong. The business agenda and cultural activities are customized to fit the educational goals of each school. The objective of the program is to give the students first-hand knowledge of how to conduct business in China. As part of the program, participants meet with Chinese and foreign owned enterprises in a number of industries, government organizations, local professionals, local business schools and industry experts.

Why travel with Princeton Travelers?

1. Students Learn First-hand: ¡°How to do Business in China¡±
The most important part of the program and what separates Princeton Travelers from other companies is our ability to set-up a comprehensive itinerary of business meetings which include both foreign and local enterprises in a number of different sectors. The program helps the students to develop a better understanding of market entry strategies, local business practices, specific industry opportunities, and governmental procedures and regulations; the tools necessary to successfully conduct business with China.

Past programs have included meetings with foreign enterprises such as Kodak, Glaxo-SmithKline, Lucent technologies and Unilever; local enterprises such as China Pacific Insurance (one of the top three insurance companies in China), Dianji Technologies (start-up created by Wang Zhidong, the famed founder of Sina.com), and Deheng Law Firm (one of the largest law firms in China). Other visits have included development zones, factories, ports, an equity exchange, hospital and meetings in the area of law, accounting, entrepreneurship, consulting, retail, information technology, trading, finance and insurance, automotive, and telecom, among others.

In addition, we plan events with local business schools and business associations to give participants the chance to gain a local perspective of the business environment and to make professional contacts and new friends. For example we have planned events with the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), the number one MBA program in Asia as rated by the Financial Times in 2005.

We are also happy to work with each school to coordinate meetings with their own business contacts in China.

2. Princeton Travelers has an Office and Staff based in China
In addition to our offices in the United States and Spain, Princeton Travelers has an office in the ChongWen Qu district of Beijing near the Temple of Heaven. Mr. Jeffrey Hu manages the China office which includes a full-time staff in Beijing and Shanghai. This local presence is critical in helping us to organize the business meetings and visits, and to maintain consistently high-quality programs. Our programs are always accompanied by a member of the Princeton Travelers team to ensure that everything goes smoothly. The local team also handpicks all the guides, drivers, restaurants and hotels. You will find that most travel companies will outsource to a Chinese travel agency, and unfortunately this commonly leads to poor service, misunderstandings and frequent visits to commission shops. Having a local presence allows Princeton Travelers to maintain control over every aspect of the program and ensures that our programs will always exceed the expectations of our clients.

3. Flexible Programs
Programs are customized to meet the educational objectives, time schedules and budgets of our clients. In addition to the business and cultural programs, Princeton Travelers arranges the International and Chinese domestic flights, accommodations, local ground transportation, visas, and meals. Upon request, we can also arrange meeting rooms (with audio visual equipment), mobile phones for group leaders and private side trips to anywhere in China.

4. Participants can Expect Delicious Food
Past participants have told us that their meals were one of the highlights of our programs. For many Chinese, food is not just a source of nourishment but a reason for living. This is definitely the case for our local Princeton Travelers¡¯ staff members, who consider themselves food connoisseurs and enjoy taking participants to the restaurants which they enjoy and cannot be found in any guide book. This is in contrast to most travel companies which take groups to large tourist restaurants where the food is mediocre. Participants can expect to sample a wide variety of authentic regional dishes from Shanghai, Hangzhou, Hunan, Sichuan and Canton.
