Customized one-week business exploration program to Beijing and Shanghai to help companies better understand the opportunities and challenges in the Chinese market.

OPPORTUNITY
The Chinese market affords tremendous opportunities for businesses that seek to reduce their manufacturing costs or to find new growing markets to sell their products and services. These opportunities have been further enhanced by the reduction in tariffs and regulations associated with China's ascension into the World Trade Organization.

BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT
The Chinese business environment can be hazardous for businesses trying to enter the market alone for the first time. China has unique challenges with regard to the methods of doing business, governmental procedures and regulations, and market entry strategies. Not understanding these issues can lead to the wasting of significant time and financial resources. For this reason, many large companies employ the services of strategy consulting firms; however, the price of employing such a firm to provide an initial market study and entry strategy can require a minimum investment of more than $100,000.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Business Mission program is designed for small to medium sized companies that are interested in the potential prospects China has to offer, but are not yet ready to make such a significant investment before seeing the opportunities and risks first-hand. The Business Mission program arranges appointments with relevant government organizations and associations, Chinese and foreign-invested companies and industry experts.
The program is developed exclusively for the participating company and includes:

Business Itinerary
Five full-days of business meetings in Shanghai and Beijing. (Limiting the program to a week will minimize the amount of time participants are away from the home office.)

The following is a list of potential meetings Princeton Travelers will set-up during the mission:
Government officials (state, provincial and local)
Industry associations
Manufacturers and distributors in your industry
Consulting companies and experts specializing in your industry
Law and accounting firms
Chamber of Commerce
MBA and technical schools

Professional Consultant
Participants will be accompanied by a full-time Princeton Travelers consultant. The consultant is a bilingual Chinese professional with extensive experience working with foreign companies. The consultant acts as a business resource, interpreter, local guide, and general problem-solver.

MISSION FEE
The program is designed for a single company, with the cost varying depending on the number of participants. Please contact us for more information regarding the cost.

DATES
The participating company can depart on a Saturday and return the following Saturday, allowing for a full work week in China. The company can choose their own departure dates.
